For more than 70 years The Rotary Club of Barrie has been “Committed to the Community”.  The Rotary Club of Barrie Charitable Foundation, established in 2003 was created to assist through charitable donations, supporting the work of the Rotary Club of Barrie. 

The Rotary Club of Barrie Charitable Foundation (RCBCF) is a funding foundation, not a granting organization. The RCBCF manages funds - it does not distribute directly to charitable recipients. Organizations and individuals seeking funds are advised to contact the Rotary Club of Barrie. 

 
The RCBCF is managed by a Board of Directors who are Past Presidents of the Rotary Club of Barrie.  The Board is responsible for ensuring that the funds are invested safely with recognized money managers and that returns are maximized to provide sustainability for the fund in perpetuity. 

Based on the guidelines set of by the Canadian Revenue funds are then distributed annually to the Rotary Club of Barrie toward projects that fall into the “Pillars” of support as defined by the Foundation mandate that include Community, Vocational, Youth and through a matching grant process with Rotary International, non local projects..

The RCBCF offers charitable receipts for donations of money, financial securities, bequests and insurance policies. 

 

Having no administration fees, 100% of the funds raised are donated back to the community.
